Payment and Lesson Policy
Studio terms are based on the number of weeks in Victorian public school terms. Lessons are held on pupil free days but not Public Holidays. All Individual Lessons are held at my Studio in North Carlton. Group Lessons are held once a month in a nearby hall and are compulsory for all students.

Fees
Please Note:
- Tuition fees of Individual Lessons not only cover the cost of contact during the lesson time, but additional services and associated costs of running a Suzuki Flute studio. These include, professional insurance, ongoing professional development programs, recording equipment, teaching materials, administrative tasks, musical recordings, computer programs, etc.
- Group Lesson, Concert and Rehearsal Fees are also included on your term invoice. These specifically include piano accompanist fees, venue hire, music and materials, and tuition. Each of these components are integral to the Suzuki Method and every child is required to attend.
- Dates for all Studio Events are included on the online Calendar via your log in and on the What's On page on my website. Any changes or amendments will be updated on the calendar and sent out via email.
Conditions
- Fees are charged per child per term and are inclusive of Individual Lessons, Group Lessons, Concerts and Rehearsals. All fees are to be paid within 2 weeks of invoice issue. I do not offer casual classes or partial terms.
- Your child’s lesson day and time are reserved solely for them and their attending adult, therefor no make-up lessons are available.
- Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or EFT.
Absence from Lessons
- If a student misses an Individual or Group lesson, Concert Rehearsal or Concert for any reason, a make-up lesson is not possible and no refund or credit will be made.
Studio Closures
- If it is necessary for me to cancel a lesson, it may be made up at a mutually convenient time. If this is not possible, fees for the cancelled lesson will be credited to your account the following term.
Scheduling Lessons
- Each year in early Term 4 - I will ask each family to give me three day and time preferences (1st, 2nd and 3rd choice) for their individual lesson during the following school year.
- I teach Friday & Monday afternoons from 3:45pm - 6:30pm, Thursdays 3:45pm - 4:45pm
- Students in Books 1 and 2 require 30 minute individual lessons.
- Students in Books 3 and above require 45 minute lessons.
- Students will then move to hour long lessons according to individual progress, other requirements (eg Music for HSC, AMEB exams, Eisteddfod) and needs.
- Lesson length changes will be discussed well in advanced and planned for accordingly.
Terminating Lessons
- If you wish to stop lessons, at least half a term’s notice is required before lessons cease. If insufficient notice is given, you will be charged for half the following term.
